Want a list of my credits? Last one I wrote was about Okies in the Dust Bowl. You'd never know because when it reached the screen, the whole thing played on a torpedo boat.

This reminded me of Diana Gabaldon and her successful Outlander series. As far as I know, she'd never been to Scotland when she wrote the first book (let alone Scotland 200 years ago).
