C Hunter: Writing in your head

As a writer with an arm injury, I can attest that writing cannot be done in your head! Or at least not in my head. I have to type just as many drafts now, as I did before the injury (only 10 times more slowly). Despite having lots of time to "think" the story, and thinking about it constantly, it never comes together until I've actually written, on paper, numerous drafts. Getting better now, though!
