There needs to be an understanding of 'what/why' makes emotion and what makes it change into another state, numb (depressed?) or any other emotional or non emotional state.
Woody Allen seems to be into his art rather than his own life, maybe thats evened out as he's aged...

Woody Allen has spent four decades in film creating and controlling aesthetic emotions with laser-like precision but in his personal life has spent at least as much time in therapy.

As always, a concrete and clarifying answer.  I've never understood why certain cerebral types think all emotion is anathema.  I love and enjoy art-triggered aesthetic emotion.  Recently, Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book" triggered some good ones.  Certain routines on this  season's "So You Think You Can Dance," short story told through music and movement, triggered some powerful aesthetic emotion.  A large reason why I love and enjoy art is the aesthetics.  To become an artist who can trigger these; well, that's why I'm here at "Storylogue."
