McKee says he can't think of an example of a controlling idea when forgiveness is impossible and love is ultimately destroyed. How about "In A Lonely Place"? Absolutely devastating ending.

Today is when I finished writing the climax to my screenplay. And it is true, you really do not know the true meaning to your story until you finish writing the climax.
