I don't like the Sopranos. Never have. I think there is a risk to creating dimensions that are too obviously contrary. The contradiction becomes cute instead of compelling. Yes, Tony, I see the absurdity in your contradictory behavior, but I feel like you're pandering to me. The dimensionality isn't engaging. It's off-putting.

No fair, Shakespeare only had 3 hours to work with Hamlet. Tony Soprano had 6 seasons. One of my favorite shows though, and plays!

I remember watching "The Sopranos" back in 2006 and wondering what Robert Mckee would say about Tony Soprano.
