In writing an original screenplay that takes place in a fictional world unfamiliar to the reader, how should one write their description so it doesn't "eat up"  too much of the page and ruin the pacing?  For example, should the details of a futuristic city be described only in relation to the emotional tone of a scene, i.e. at a minimum?  Or should the description be peppered throughout the screenplay so the reader gets a general sense of what the hell's going on?  Or...should the writer just let the director and art department take care of it?  "Nuff said".
